Fear is a horrible thing to feed. ExxonMobil donated $260,000 to Obama Inauguration in spirit of "by-partisan consensus". Nothing to fear but shake-down itself. Liberals are lamenting how Obama has set aside his "scruples" and "integrety" to accept all the corporate donations they will donate to the DNC. Pay the tribute, buy the "from thin air carbon credits" in latest invented old scare-tactic to scrounge up tribute and taxes. Just another "business expense legitimized bribe" to pass along to consumers at the fuel pump and oil change occasion. Even the "patrons of adult beverages" wondered if Obama's FOS pledge to decimate oil profits while "pumping up" climate change carbon credit purchases. Big oil knows that climate change is a "Big Lie" since the Earth's overall temperature has gone down in the last twenty years but understands the basic money-hungry greed that drives the Democrat Party. A small but vicious contingent of environMENTAL group 350.org festooned Washington D.C. streets with anti-Keystone XL posters before the 2012 inauguration. (2) They even posted a poster on their F***book page for the sake of social media obscurity.
********************************************************************************************
In Obama's Inaugural speech Obama threatened with a ridiculous-"unwanted-by-countless-millions" vow to “respond to the threat of climate change.” As climate change remained a back-burner non-topic during Obama's presidential campaign, environmentalists were encouraged in their ignorance by the hyperbole "mile-long-frozen-banana"style front-burner jive of environmental issues brought up in Obama’s speech. On Sunday, January 20, 2013 at night, Joe (Bite Me) Biden made a surprise appearance at the Green Ball in D.C. where he told environmental groups gathered with bated breath to hear him utter that tired old phrase, “Keep the faith.” There was no,"Baby" which is usually included.
******************************************************************************************
Obama tossed out the "bone" to the environMENTALS because he knew that the Keystone XL pipeline was coming to the forefront for another "kickdown". The XL pipeline which is partially finished is intended to carry crude oil from Alberta’s Athabasca Oil Sands to the Gulf Coast refineries. This would benefit the Gulf Coast which voted against Obama again as well as big oil jobs in the Gulf Coast and Canada.
********************************************************************************************
In August of 2011, two particular terrains transversed by the pipeline were a wetland ecosystem called the Sandhills in Nebraska, and the Ogallala Aquifer, one of the world’s largest fresh water reserves. That is what stalled it out then when the threat of China getting the oil instead of the USA was a concern.
******************************************************************************************
Due to an upcoming election, the Obama Administration decoded to "kick the can" and delay the condamnation of the pipeline (and all those Nebraska and Gulf Coast jobs) until AFTER the 2014 November election. This stall happened in April of 2014 when a judge stopped construction of the pipeline in Nebraska and the Nebraska Supreme Court will conveniently stall around for several months. This was the SIXTH anniversary of the "going-to-be" 1,700-mile pipeline TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline. The crude oil from the Athabasca Oil Sands in northeastern Alberta, Canada, is supposed to go to Steele City, Nebraska, and then on to the Gulf Coast.
********************************************************************************************
A condition known as satisificing happens when pro-topic groups like anti-energy factions are aiming to achieve only satisfactory results because the satisfactory position is familiar, hassle-free, and secure. This status-quo maintenance is especially problematic in a representative democracy when the representatives themselves start satisificing in the same way. A prime example was the perennial stall then after-election November dis-allowance of the pipeline. Thousands if not millions of people, including Clint Eastwood-- encourage Obama to do to himself that which is physically impossible. Clint Eastwood's famous "empty chair soliloquy" placed everyone's mind in that vein of thought.
******************************************************************************************
Another prime example of satisificing was U.S. House of Representative' Democrat leader Harry (Hairy Reed) Reid's "decision" on the qualifications of Judge Sotomayor as a Justice for life on the U.S. Supreme Court. (Keywords form a burning question=Justice for life?)
“We have the whole package here,” he blithely stated in his office one sad morning with the smiling Sotomayor seated to his left, her hands folded neatly in her lap. Reid added, “you’ve been an underdog many times in your life but always the top dog.”
Then? She ““is going to be a fantastic, superb Supreme Court justice.”********************
******************************************************************************************
On what past opus or body of work does Harry the Hairy Reid base this judgment?
*******************************************************************************************
“I understand that during her career, she’s written hundreds and hundreds of opinions,” Reid stated. “I haven’t read a single one of them, and if I’m fortunate before we end this, I won’t have to read one of them.”
This blissful ignorance is surprises no one but is abysmally depressing when a lifetime appointed person gets a "rubber stamp" O.K. that is supposed to be considered, pondered, and well-thought out. Is Reid AFRAID that he will take offense at one of a Supreme Court candidate's opinions or consider that LONE example as "stupid", requiring him to read a SECOND ONE of the hundreds of opinions? Oh anyway, the Democrat President WANTS this one, so who am I to NOT go along with him? I'm only the last "obstacle" to a lifetime job for a person who MIGHT not be worthy of tying the shoes of a viable, sensible candidate who just happens to whole-heartily favor Universal Healthcare as her main qualification. The other qualifications be damned...(3)
